Inception of a design system for Web.com, Network Solutions, and Register.com
Overview
Web.com, Network Solutions, and Register.com help millions of small businesses get online with domains, hosting, and website building. Years of acquisitions had brought the three brands under one roof, but each still designed on its own. The same button, form, or checkout got rebuilt again and again, and looked different depending on which brand a customer landed on.
I set out to give all three brands one shared foundation without erasing what made each distinct. Designcraft was that system: a single token architecture and component library every product team could build from, themed per brand so each identity stayed intact while the structure underneath stayed the same.
