Case study

Verizon Home

Executive Summary

Role
Design Manager

Challenge
16M+ Verizon households were forced to navigate four separate apps and websites to manage their home network. The fragmented experience drove confusion, increased support calls, and left no clear home for a growing suite of connected-home features.

Solution
Led the organizational case and design strategy for a dedicated two-app ecosystem, sunsetting the My Fios app and launching the Verizon Home App as the single destination for network management. Scaled the team from 2 to 9, ran a Kano-based MVP prioritization process, and established a two-week design sprint rhythm that carried the product from concept through phased public launch.

Results
322K monthly active users at launch. App Store rating lifted from 3.7 to 4.5 stars. 120K parental control profiles created. Return visitor rate of 48%. Value-added services expanded from 2 to 6, with 200% growth in subscriptions.
